Architects,
Engineers and Planners have been working with electronically
generated drawings for a number of years now, through packages
such as AutoCAD, MicroStation etc. However many still have
an overlap of third-party or pre-electronic drawings which
are of critical importance but take up valuable space, deteriorate
in quality and prove expensive to reproduce.
Scanning
up to 2000 drawings onto one CD may be a cost-effective
way of guaranteeing the security of these drawings, eliminating
deterioration issues and reproduction costs while simultaneously
freeing-up that valuable storage space. Furthermore, by
providing multiple access with back-up copies of each CD,
this solution will ease congestion and increase efficiency
in a hectic drawing office.
Our
large format scanning service ensures that all your drawings
are scanned to scale and stored on CDs with back-up copies
provided. Each CD's stand-alone software will allow you
to retrieve an individual drawing from a database structured
upon the various fields in the drawing's title block. There
is a viewing package enabling you to pan, zoom, plot-to-scale,
scale-to-fit and export to any drawing package where necessary.
Large
format scanning is ideal for the imaging of broadsheet newspapers.
Again, such work would come published to CD-ROM with stand-alone
software for retrieval, viewing, plotting, scaling and exporting.
As
with all our scanning services, collection and return is
included, document preparation is available if necessary
and back-up copies are provided free of charge.
